The majority of our clients are household names and global brands in FMCG, retail, ecommerce, financial services, and travel with a footprint in Greece but also across Europe and beyond.

    We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer with significant exposure in ETLs in the Oracle environment to work exclusively with one of our top clients, one of the largest and most well-respected Telco companies in the country.


    What's your day-to-day

    You will be working in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, so you can never expect to have just another typical day at work. Sometimes you will feel out of your comfort zone, but you will probably never feel bored


    On any particular day you will be doing several of the following:

  • Design and implement data flows and pipelines from various data sources (SAP, Data Warehouse, Legacy System) in order to feed data to Google Cloud Platform.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Big Data Engineers to develop ETL processes and flows in order to transfer historical data to GCP.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.
  • Migrate existing data from database and legacy systems using ETL processes (Oracle ODI, etc.).
  • Transfer already in-place procedures and flows from database/systems (e.g. Data Warehouse) to GCP.
  • Review existing architecture and processes for making recommendations to relevant stakeholders and implementing enhancements and optimizations.
  • Document your work and continuously improve your workflow.
    Your professional expertise

    In order to be considered for the role you would have:

  • A university degree or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or another relative discipline.
  • 2+ years of working experience in Data Engineering projects (Strong data warehouse understanding is a prerequisite).
  • Experience in Design and Architecture of solutions based on Oracle Technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle RDBMS, SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and/or Oracle Data Warehouse Builder (DWB).
  • Strong knowledge in SQL, tuning skills and Oracle database design.
  • Good knowledge of Data Marts, Data warehousing, OLAP, ODS, Data Modeling and Dimensions Tables using Oracle technologies.
  • Knowledge of best practices around indexing and query performance.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Fluent English, spoken and written.

    It will be considered a strong plus if you have some of the following:

  • Experience in:
  • Big Data pipelines.
  • Cloud Technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline etc.).

  • Exposure to:
  • the Telco industry.
  • Marketing automation platforms such as Pega, Unica, or Salesforce.
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum/ Kanban etc).
