In Greece we conduct business through EDPS, which is one of the leading FINTECH companies in Greece specializing in Payments Processing and Advanced Payment Solutions. Our goal is to be the go-to solution for large retailers across all sectors and offer cutting edge technology in order to accept and process electronic payments on both physical location (POS) and eCommerce environments.

We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Network Administrator to join our team.

The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the Network Infrastructure of the Company including Network systems, the associated software and hardware, security tools and handling daily business critical tasks. The Network Administrator will take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative, working closely with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements. Proficiency in Network and Network Security field is mandatory. Proven experience with Cisco or relevant vendors' technologies/solutions, IPS/IDS, WAF, MFA, VPNs, and systems performance-monitoring tools is mandatory.

The role applies structured IT methodologies, documentation, policies, and integrations to enhance overall IT systems quality and scalability. The Networks Administrator must thrive in a focused, productive, high-intensity, and team-oriented environment. The candidate will be part of a highly skilled IT team that provides business solutions in an energetic organization.

About the role

• Install, configure, test, maintain and document equipment and network systems according to design and specifications.
• Drive the day-to-day networking tasks ensuring reliability, availability, and serviceability with minimal interruption.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary actions to support network availability.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 level support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Develop and produce complex documentation for installation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardware or software.
• Perform disaster recovery operations.
• Provide technical support, responds to work orders and tickets from the users, analyses and solves reported network problems.
• Create, adjust, and maintain network user settings and permissions.
• Write technical support documentation for network systems and applications.
• Monitor data-center network stability and performance, using existing management tools and respond to issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new equipment when needed.
• Performs Operational Acceptance Testing and evaluations as part of Service Integration, ensuring acceptability and usability on a scale, capacity, resiliency, and reliability level.
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
• Assist teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of all Network systems, including backups. Apply system hardening techniques to meet PCI -DSS standards.
• Report and assist in investigation of security breaches in accordance with Information Security guidelines. Review and investigate any issues identified via security monitoring applications. Reviews system access in line with the required practices and procedures following Information Security guidelines. Maintain the systems responsible to the level required to meet the Payment Card Industry (PCI), Security Standards and other applicable industry best practices.
• React and respond to events in accordance with escalation procedures. Provide complex statistical information to datacenter management for weekly and monthly status updates and additional information as required. Deploy changes in accordance with the change control process. Raise, update, and closes change control tickets in accordance with Service Management guidelines.
• Conduct complex system maintenance by planning and developing strategy on patch management, firmware management and Operating Systems upgrades in line with best practices across the Company and the industry at large. Provides out-of-hours support for pre-arranged changes and maintenance events.

About you

To be considered for this role, here are the skills we're looking for:

Required Education / Experience Requirements:

• BS in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Typically, Minimum 8 Years Relevant Exp.
• Excellent understanding of Cisco Network & FirePower Firewalls platforms.
• Strong experience of Network Technologies including routing Protocols Static, EIGRP, OSPF and optionally BGP. Thorough understanding of VRRP/HSRP, VLANs, SPAN, Ethernet technologies, ACL, Zone Based Firewalls (ZBF), VPNs, SNMPv3.
• Experience in Wireless Technologies AAA (802.1x, Radius), Network Monitoring and Capacity Management (OpenNMS, PRTG, Syslog, NetFlow).
• CCNA, CCNP, ACMA or ITIL certifications will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of Network automation tools such as Python or Ansible will be considered a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be highly organized, hands-on, and focused on continuing professional development.
• Excellent command of the English language
• Professional certification
