Aim high go beyond At Open Cosmos we are solving the worlds biggest challenges from space providing businesses governments and researchers access to more readily available information than ever before ready for the challenge Then read on Working in our Data Division Our Data division transforms satellite data into meaningful insights that drive real-world impact The team delivers all data products generated by Open Cosmos and its partners curates and develops DataCosmos — our geospatial data platform — and builds integrations that make satellite imagery easy to access and act on Their work helps organisations turn data into action and create positive change on Earth As a Satellite Image Processing Engineer youll design build the processing chains that transform raw satellite data into high-quality analysis-ready Earth Observation products Youll combine remote sensing expertise software engineering system integration to ensure Open Cosmos delivers reliable data at scale across multiple missions payloads enabling customer value advancing our EO data platform What will you be doing Defining EO product specifications in collaboration with customers sales teams mission engineers ensuring products meet user needs mission objectives Translating customer requirements into clear technical processing specifications for EO missions dataproducts Contributing payload definition selection next-generation EO missions downstream usability performance Designing developing image pipelines ingestion delivery calibrated orthorectified analysisready products Implementing maintaining algorithms band-to-band registration georeferencing radiometric atmospheric correction cloud detection masking classification derivedproducts Integrating workflows scalable automated systems orchestration platforms Acting technical interface between processing sales system engineering teams supporting feasibility assessments proposals effort estimation Continuously improving pipelines evaluating new tools algorithms techniques enhance quality performance efficiency Supporting multipayload multisensor operations adapting pipelines diverse satellite platforms datasources Contributing characterisation calibration validation activities ensure accuracy product quality This role can be based Oxford UK Barcelona Spain Tenerife Porto Portugal Athens Greece To apply you must have legal right work chosen location When applying please submit CV English Why Open Cosmos Work cutting edge space technology customers globe Mission-driven company making space accessible help solve realworld challenges Diverse ambitious supportive team
