SEPTONA, one of the leading Greek companies in personal care operating in Greece and 70 countries globally, is seeking for a Production Planner. He / She will work closely with plant management and supply network planning to develop and execute an optimal production schedule and inventory control.
Main responsibilities:
Manages all planning inputs: Sales orders, forecasts, custom / special orders.
Maintains consolidated sales forecasts in the system.
Translates the consolidated sales forecasts into a master production schedule / build schedule.
Uses ERP to develop and maintain the master schedule in the system.
Maintains BOMs (Bill of Materials) in the system and adjust relevant production orders.
Prepares and distributes weekly production schedules / work order dispatch lists.
Monitors daily schedule status and communicates scheduling problems.
Confers with the Production Manager to determine the status of schedules and materials to revise schedules, as necessary, to meet customer demands.
Assists management to resolve problems with late shipments, material shortages, customer schedule changes, and cancellations of customer orders.
Proposes, gains approval for, and leads implementation of improved planning methods, tools, and reports.
Prepares production reports.
Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
2-3 years of experience in planning and scheduling a manufacturing facility.
Fluency and proficiency in the practical application of MRP logic, scheduling logic, order policies, capacity planning, input/output control, routings, and standards maintenance.
Knowledgeable in master scheduling, production planning and detailed scheduling, demand management and cost accounting techniques.
Experience with inventory management.
Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills/abilities.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
