About the role

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and delivering high‑quality, scalable, and secure technical solutions across Sigma Group's platforms and digital products. Working closely with engineering, product, data, and business teams, this role ensures that solutions are aligned with enterprise architectural principles, support business goals, and follow best‑practice patterns within the fast‑moving iGaming and events ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong cross‑functional collaboration, translating business requirements into robust solution designs that are future‑ready and adaptable to emerging technologies, including AI‑driven capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Delivery

• Develop end‑to‑end solution architectures for key initiatives, ensuring designs are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards. [
• Produce architecture artefacts (HLDs, integration diagrams, data flows, non‑functional requirements).
• Ensure interoperability and performance across platforms, integrations, and digital products.
• Work with delivery teams throughout the SDLC to guide implementation and validate design adherence.

Architecture Alignment & Standards

• Apply enterprise architecture principles, policies, and technology standards within solution designs to ensure consistency and long‑term maintainability.
• Identify technical risks, design gaps, and dependencies early, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Support governance processes by reviewing technical designs and contributing to architectural best practices.

AI‑Enabled Solution Design

• Collaborate with data science and platform teams to design solutions that incorporate AI capabilities such as recommendations, predictive analytics, and automation.
• Ensure AI‑enabled solutions adhere to ethical, regulatory, and privacy requirements.
• Support integration and lifecycle requirements for model deployment and monitoring.

Data Architecture & Integration

• Design data flows and integration patterns across internal systems, third‑party platforms, and event‑specific technologies.
• Ensure solutions support high‑quality, reliable, and governable data pipelines suitable for analytics and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with DataOps and engineering teams to implement scalable, real‑time data architectures.

Security, Compliance & Risk

• Ensure solution designs comply with security standards, privacy regulations, and responsible‑gaming requirements.
• Embed secure‑by‑design principles and work closely with security teams to validate controls.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable solution designs.
• Provide clear technical guidance to engineering, product, and delivery teams.
• Communicate architectural decisions, trade‑offs, and solution options to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in solution architecture, systems design, and modern technology stacks.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
• Understanding of event platforms, registration systems, mobile applications, and iGaming‑related digital experiences.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and integration patterns.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to balance strategic intent with practical delivery needs.

Preferred Experience

• Degree in a technical or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Architectural Frameworks such as TOGAF a plus
• 8–10 years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or related fields. (Adjusted from original seniority)
• Experience designing solutions for large‑scale events, digital products, or iGaming platforms.
• Exposure to AI‑enabled product development or implementation of AI tooling.
• Strong background working with distributed, cloud‑based, or hybrid delivery teams.
