Job summary

We are offering an interesting position in our Engineering Systems, Instruments & Controls department to drive the future of Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), where you will design and implement advanced control solutions for turbomachinery systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and automation engineering for turbomachinery instrumentation, including package engineering and acting as sub-project manager.
• Plan, design, and specify instrumentation and automation solutions for assemblies and systems of complex processes in line with customer requirements and internal standards.
• Prepare and review EI&C design documents, including but not limited to, design guides, specifications, calculations, data sheets, reports, loop sheets, lists/indices, control narratives P&IDs etc.
• Review and evaluate of customer specifications, consultation with customers on technical solutions and coordination of suppliers for all EI&C components.
• Prepare assembly and commissioning documents, including wiring diagrams, specifications and work instructions.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues at headquarters and across project teams.
• Support commissioning activities and provide technical assistance throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Systems, or comparable.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC-based automation and visualization systems (e.g. PCS7, ControlLogix), combined with an understanding of network communication, is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control loops functional design in advanced process applications will be considered a plus.
• Familiarity with actuators, sensors, and variable frequency drives.
• Ability to manage EI&C sub-projects and ensure scope, schedule, and quality compliance.
• Experience with relevant international standards and safety regulations (e.g. Machine Directive, Low-Voltage Directive, Functional Safety, Explosion Protection).
• Fluency in Greek and English (additional languages beneficial, i.e German).
• Team-oriented, excellent communication skills, systematic and conscientious way of working with willingness to travel worldwide occasionally.
• General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
• Experience with and use of tools: COMOS (desirable), SAP, MS Office.
