Marc-Anthony Richardson

Marc-Anthony Richardson is a Vice President and Wealth Advisor currently servicing the US market. He is also the Vice President and Trust Portfolio Manager for BRB Trust. In these positions, Marc-Anthony is uniquely qualified to support his team with efficient asset allocation strategies, as well as ensure that our customers receive tailored financial guidance. Marc-Anthony is originally from the Caribbean Island of Aruba and acquired his Bachelor’s in Finance at Richmond, the American International University, in London, UK. He received his MBA at the College of William & Mary. Marc-Anthony specializes in the accumulation and distribution phases of investment planning for people and organizations at any stage. His designation as a Chartered Portfolio Manager (CPM®) allows him to create robust portfolios for various goals in ways that few other wealth managers can. In his free time, you can find Marc-Anthony scribbling away at fiction and non-fiction works. He is also the father of three girls, and his family frequents his wife’s home island of Karpathos in Greece.

I lead the Wealth Management team for the Greater Richmond, VA region. As the team leader, I ensure a goals-driven and inclusive environment by understanding the individual needs of my teammates. I set an atmosphere that highlights my coaching style of leadership, and I instill a clearly defined standard for my peers by setting the same standards for myself. I work to ensure that I understand my region’s dynamic where investment solutions and financial literacy, and suitability is concerned, and I successfully manage nine figures in wealth assets. 

My success in recommending efficient and timely asset rebalancing strategies and sourcing new opportunities within client accounts caught the attention of our financial group’s CEO and the Director of the Trust department. They appointed me as the Portfolio Manager for our Trust Officers where I manage half a billion dollars. In this added role, I work closely with the Trust team to ensure that we are not only making efficient and suitable investment decisions according to an investment policy and support the fiduciary standards of the Trust Officers, but we are justifying these decisions with effective reporting strategies to ensure we meet and exceed regulatory standards, internal policy, and trust dictations.
